En effet, il existe un nombre étonnant de mots et de tournures qui sont courants dans les textes écrits en français mais s'avèrent fortement sous-utilisés dans les traductions françaises, ce que l'auteur a pu constater au long de ses 35 années d'expérience comme traducteur, réviseur et formateur en traduction. Qui plus est, il s'agit souvent de mots étonnamment simples qui pourraient par conséquent alléger de beaucoup les traductions, conformément aux attentes de plus en plus explicites des clients qui réclament "un langage clair et simple". Par ailleurs, certains articles visent à déboulonner certains mythes se traduisant malheureusement par des interdits linguistiques délétères répandus dans le monde de la traduction, par exemple en ce qui concerne le participe présent et la voix passive.
